Camera Shots (B.E.3)

 Over the shoulder shot is a shot in which the "on-screen" actor's coverage is captured while the camera is set close behind a "off-screen" actor so that their shoulder is in the frame. An over-the-shoulder angle will also imply a link or understanding between the characters in your scenario. You can use it to orient your viewer. I took the photo in the classroom over a friends shoulder.

 Pov shot is a movie perspective that depicts what a character is seeing in the first person. Typically, it is established by being placed in between a shot of a subject gazing at something and a shot of the character reacting to it. Took the picture in the  class by looking at the image.

an a extreme close -up shot is a shot that puts a objected in higher focus or zoom in. Often portions of the shot is no longer in frame due to the fact that the image or subject is so zoomed in.

The purpose of the extreme zoom is to emphasize a particular part of the object or the subject. It helps to emphasize or point details out because of the closeness of the shot..Took the picture in the class by zooming in on the highlighter.

Low shots is a shot that is lower then the eye line and is angled upward. In some cases when their is a extreme cases this will be a shot of the feet of the character.

The purposes of a low shot is to help create power for the hero. It can help to express vulnerability of a character and create better perception of the height of an object. Took the picture by placing the camera lower then me and taking a picture with the camera directed up.

A high angle shot is a shot where there is an elevated point of view over the object that is being shown in the shot.

The purpose of the high shot is to help express and give more detail to narration of the information , it creates an emotion or elicited response and can help give insight on the characters information. Took the photo by  having some one who is taller than me in the class take a picture of my self from the top.

an extreme long shot is a shot that shows everything and represent a object in their surroundings. The shot is also known as the wide shot or full shot.

The purpose of an extreme long shot is the help gives a  visual scale of the character in their environment and can help to express the background and give scale of size in the objects that are  in the background. Going outside and take a picture from a very far distant.
